Family Resemblances

One of my favorite parts of having babies is looking for family resemblances.  Some might say that I am rather obsessed ;)  It is amazing how fluid a baby's features can be...one  moment they may be the spitting image of Daddy, and the next they may look just like an uncle or grandparent! I love poring over baby pictures of all of our relatives and comparing them to pictures of our babies. Just for fun, let's see how they stack up to pictures of Brady and I...you might be surprised where the resemblances lie!

Daddy's Girl

The first time I saw Sydney, I was stunned by how much she resembled her Daddy.  As she has grown, I see more and more of him in her.  I must say, Daddy sure does make a cute girl ;)

Brady, about 3 months
Sydney, age 6 months

I wonder if Sydney's hair will turn curly, too?

Sydney, 7 months

Look at Brady's expression here...
Sydney makes the same face all the time!

Bathing cutie...
Copycat smile!

Mommy's little Man

Since Sydney looks so much like her Daddy, it's only fair that Will looks like me.
Check out these pics...

Despite the obvious difference in size, Will has looked like me from the beginning as well.

Me as a newborn (9 lb, 1 oz)

Here's Will at one week old (about 4 lbs)

Still not convinced? Here's Will at one month old (about 6 lbs)

Fast forward a bit...

This is me at 3 months...

and Will at 5 months.

Another of me at 3 months...

and Will at 3 months.

One last smile...me at 3 months

Now that we know who our babies look like in the present, we can predict what they might look like in the future...

Oh, brother.

A Few New Pics

Hello, friends!  It's been awhile since our last post, but the twins are still rockin' and rollin'! Here are a few new pictures from July and August.

We are almost eight months old! Here are a few of our seven-month pictures.

Sydney was not in a smiling mood that day.
Look how big I am!
Thinking...
Silly guy ;)
Are we done here?

I love Mr. Bear!

Not a fan of peas.

Not exactly my fave, but I'll eat em'.
Now that's more like it!
Lulu jumped in my crib (uninvited)!  Thank goodness Mom was there with the camera...

Happy in our playroom.
Best buddies ;)

More Firsts!

With two quickly developing  babies in residence, it feels like our days are flying by in a flurry of firsts.  Here are a few that have happened just this week...

Sydney joined the "sitting up" club!
Look ma! No hands!

Will had his first haircut!

Bring it, Mom!
Hmmm...do I like it?
That would be a YES!
Thanks Mom!
I love being a big girl!
(We are happy to report that we have found two foods that Sydney's tummy can tolerate so far...apples and bananas! Yay for progress!)

Not a first, but still really cute...

Omm nom nom nom...

We've Been Everywhere, Man!

We've been doing lots of traveling this Summer! Mommy and Daddy say we've got places to go and people to meet.

First, we went to San Antonio to meet our South Texas family and friends.  They even had a party for us!  About 40 people came to say hello. We had a great time!

Sharing my fingers with Aunt Linda
Hanging out with Aunt Mae
Lovin' on Aunt Josie
Cracking jokes with Uncle Floyd
Checking out Uncle Dwight's shirt
Shaking hands with Uncle Donald
Showing off for Aunt Esther
Sharing secrets with Aunt Linda
Next, we headed North to Oklahoma for some more family fun.  First, we stopped at Granny's for some snuggles.

Then we headed on to Uncle Matt's for a family reunion.

Catching up with Cousin Chad
Time out with Cousin Nick

Girl talk with Dallace. We love her!
Being ornery with Grandma Margie
OMG! Cousin Justin's gonna get me!
Funny faces with Aunt Nikki
Trading stories with Granddad Johnny

Sitting with Miss Paige
Snoozing with Cousin Savannah, a.k.a. "The Baby Whisperer"
Uncle Wade tells the best jokes!
After all that traveling, we were plumb wore out!  But we had a great time with all of our family and friends!
